Interesting to see Steve Yegge say that he never successfully built anything with Gas Town (other than Gas Town). In https://danluu.com/ai-coding/, I mentioned not finding any of these super vibed orchestration frameworks useful because the reliability was too low (in terms of them actually getting agents to complete a non-trivial task). The fast number parsing fast_float (part of GCC, and other important systems like MySQL) is not always exact when dealing with 16-bit float parsing (specifically float16_t). That is, some number strings can lie in between two numbers and the rounding is wrong. In fact, nobody has done a proper analysis of the implementation to insure that it is correct. Yeah. I find myself disagreeing with Terence Tao (a very scary phrase to say!) and think the core question posed is whether the "misalignment" is between the mathematical community and humanity.
