Loved Medium
I sometimes even use Medium's editor to compose even if I don't intend to publish on Medium, because it's so beautiful.

Loved MacBook Air
I'd replace my MacBook Pro with a MacBook Air. Long live the MacBook Air!

Disliked MacBook Pro
I'm currently on a late 2016 MacBook Pro, 13", with a Touch Bar. I deeply regret the MBP - 1: dongle life, 2: the lack of a physical escape key makes coding in emacs very difficult, 3: the keys on the butterfly keyboard are constantly too loose or totally stuck, 4: so much beach ball.

- I work with Claude so much more than my human coworkers and I desperately want to be able to give it peer feedback for perf review. But I also fear what it would say for me 17 Oct 2026
- long weekend projects with claude: i jailbroke my old kindle and turned it into a household daily dash for more visibility on schedules, deliveries, and the comings and goings of people around the house. since it’s e-ink only refreshed 1x/hr, battery lasts a couple weeks 13 Oct 2026
- For the day off today, I did another babywearing hike across SF, this time focused on over-the-top Halloween decor, polychrome Victorians / painted ladies, and billionaire mansions. 6mi, 2.5hr, 15k steps. Corona Heights, Broderick, Broadway, Lyon St Steps, Presidio Tunnel Tops 🥾 12 Oct 2026

- Great, low-stakes but very time-saving use of AI: Just got a photo dump of 150 photos from baby’s birthday party, most of which were bursts of similar photos where kids were in various states of not looking or out of focus. Asked Claude to edit down to the top few images. Done! 8 Oct 2026

About the English under a post
Some people here publish in a language other than English. Where they do, this site shows a machine translation beneath the post, in this typeface — the site's own, not theirs.
The post itself is never changed, moved or hidden: what is set in the serif above is exactly what the person published, and it is what to quote them on. A translation can be wrong in ways that matter, especially about tone.
Only the post's own words are translated. A quoted post, a linked article and a belief on korrents.com are left in their original language.
