Liked Razer Huntsman Elite
Peripheral-wise, I have a mechanical Razer Huntsman Elite keyboard, a Razer Mamba Elite mouse on a Razer Goliathus Chroma mousepad, and Razer Nommo Chroma loudspeakers. The lights cheer me up.

- Heh. I misremembered the date--thought it was today, but looks like it was October 5. On that day, 10 years ago, I posted a link to Mastodon on Hacker News, with the title "Show HN: A new decentralized microblogging platform". That it made it to the front page ended up bringing the first 5,000 users, setting the project on the trajectory it's on today. 16 Oct 2026

- RE: https://hachyderm.io/@evacide/117434963703286230 It's unsurprising when people still use the term "bots" interchangeably for anything between search engine crawlers, automated accounts like the ones that post the weather every hour, automated accounts that pretend to be real people, real people who are paid to pretend to be other people, and real people they disagree with. 13 Oct 2026

- There is no ethical use of "AI". 11 Oct 2026
- "AI" is a failed technology, in the sense that it's neither fit for purpose, nor a likely path to its stated end goal of "AGI", but a lot of people's profits currently depend on pretending it's not. I am curious to see how long the hype will last once the Nvidia ouroboros ends and money stops being pumped into marketing. 11 Oct 2026

About the English under a post
Some people here publish in a language other than English. Where they do, this site shows a machine translation beneath the post, in this typeface — the site's own, not theirs.
The post itself is never changed, moved or hidden: what is set in the serif above is exactly what the person published, and it is what to quote them on. A translation can be wrong in ways that matter, especially about tone.
Only the post's own words are translated. A quoted post, a linked article and a belief on korrents.com are left in their original language.
