Woke up this morning with what is clearly an eye infection. Not good. Got the kids on the way to school. 7:30 I book an online appointment with a doctor. I send two photos. 7:35 I have phone chat with the doctor. 7:38 I have an electronic prescription for antibiotic drops. 7:59 I am standing in front of the pharmacy which opens at 8:00 8:15 back home, dripping my eye 9:00 the infection has visibly pretty much cleared out I am actually impressed by how flawlessly this all worked. Imagine thinking you had a good 20 years ahead of you. You go to the doctor for an annual physical, she does some tests, then comes back with a long face and says "I'm sorry to say: you have just 2 months to live". That's what just happened here. While planets in the inner Solar System are believed to have orbits that are unstable in the long term, astrophysicists thought the outer planets could last ~100 billion years before being picked off by other stars flying past, and other effects. But recently, we've learned something that changes this story. As red giants lose their mass by puffing o… solar Related

I get a lot of questions about "marketing," and people usually ask a granular technical question, but I think they usually miss the forest for the trees. Perhaps "What exactly is 'marketing'?" is the question I don't get asked. My answer: "Marketing" is knowing exactly who your reader or customer is, and making a product exactly for them. Kevin Kelly's "1,000 True Fans" is a great read that helps this type of thinking. People should spend 80% of their time on product, and the so-called "marketing" largely takes care of itself later. the ballerina and the kind of performer, that's the wrong reference class. Right now we have a lot of jobs where you have different tasks. So this is the task-based model jobs where you have like a lot of different tasks. So like a doctor, what is their job? They're filling out insurance documents. They're you know, going and like calling different pharmaceutical companies. And one of their tasks is to actually see the patient and talk to them, but that's like actually not the main part part of the job.

Health Insurance: I'm still really happy with what I've been doing since since 2020: - Direct primary care (DPC) physician subscription - Sedera Health Sharing (alternative to insurance with a $5k annual max out of pocket type of setup) https://t.co/RB2oXA82eL Total monthly cost for me at 51 is about $400. What is a korrent?
A korrent is a belief a person has stated in their own words: one
sentence stating the claim, backed by a quote and a source, kept at
korrents.com .
Under a name here, the quoted block is what they actually said.
The korrent beneath it is the claim those words support, in
korrents' wording — tap it to see the record, its source, and who
else holds it.
Nobody here wrote their own korrents. They are compiled from public
statements, and a person can change their mind, which is recorded too.

About the English under a post
Some people here publish in a language other than English. Where they
do, this site shows a machine translation beneath the post, in
this typeface — the site's own, not theirs.
The post itself is never changed, moved or hidden: what is set in the
serif above is exactly what the person published, and it is what to
quote them on. A translation can be wrong in ways that matter,
especially about tone.
Only the post's own words are translated. A quoted post, a linked
article and a belief on korrents.com
are left in their original language.
