I get a lot of questions about "marketing," and people usually ask a granular technical question, but I think they usually miss the forest for the trees. Perhaps "What exactly is 'marketing'?" is the question I don't get asked. My answer: "Marketing" is knowing exactly who your reader or customer is, and making a product exactly for them. Kevin Kelly's "1,000 True Fans" is a great read that helps this type of thinking. People should spend 80% of their time on product, and the so-called "marketing" largely takes care of itself later. The power of Expert Intelligence in @Gemini_Notebook: Add The Sense of Style by @sapinker to a notebook with a draft you're writing. Ask for feedback based on Pinker's ideas. It's the opposite of AI slop: personalized advice based on human expertise, facilitated by AI. And what I love about this is that I'm getting actionable suggestions here AND Notebook is serving as a guide to Pinker's underlying philosophy of writing. So I'm learning deeper principles as I improve my draft. And of course everything in the Notebook response points directly back to specific passages in Pinker (and my own dr… notebook.google.com

The way to win at capitalism is to focus on what it actually does (make customers' lives better) rather than the socialist caricature of it (squeeze every penny out of them). The latter gets you 2x returns at best, whereas making new things for people can get you 10x.

What is a korrent?
A korrent is a belief a person has stated in their own words: one
sentence stating the claim, backed by a quote and a source, kept at
korrents.com .
Under a name here, the quoted block is what they actually said.
The korrent beneath it is the claim those words support, in
korrents' wording — tap it to see the record, its source, and who
else holds it.
Nobody here wrote their own korrents. They are compiled from public
statements, and a person can change their mind, which is recorded too.

About the English under a post
Some people here publish in a language other than English. Where they
do, this site shows a machine translation beneath the post, in
this typeface — the site's own, not theirs.
The post itself is never changed, moved or hidden: what is set in the
serif above is exactly what the person published, and it is what to
quote them on. A translation can be wrong in ways that matter,
especially about tone.
Only the post's own words are translated. A quoted post, a linked
article and a belief on korrents.com
are left in their original language.
