Delicious meta thought from this morning: The table pounding from the AI-skeptical software engineers, shouting "they can't build proper, scalable, performant programs!", sounds especially thin when you consider that right now nearly everyone is looking for where this is going and no one knows yet. Building something "proper" and "scalable" and "performant" before you have PMF is a tricky thing to pull off (there's exceptions, of course, where PMF comes from being one of the three) and now it seems like most companies are looking for PMF every 3 months. How do you feel when you wake up and before bed and how easily do you fall asleep? The time in bed in the morning and at night tells you all you need to know. It's not a purely intellectual reasoning. It's not a pro and con list. It's not a spreadsheet. It’s not a Venn diagram. It's like, how do you feel? And are you even aware of how you're feeling? In Canada, we have results per province. In math, Quebec is usually best, and it is still the case for the latest results (2025). Yet the numbers fell. You see a clear drop starting in 2022, and it continues. The drop is worldwide. It is not wealth. Most countries got slightly richer, or had relatively modest decline. In the absence of immigrants, between 2020 and 2050 Spain’s labor force (its active population) will drop from 22.6 to 15.7 million people. You’re not going to fill all the jobs needed in a modern and sophisticated economy like that of Spain’s with 15.7 million people.

What is a korrent?
A korrent is a belief a person has stated in their own words: one
sentence stating the claim, backed by a quote and a source, kept at
korrents.com .
Under a name here, the quoted block is what they actually said.
The korrent beneath it is the claim those words support, in
korrents' wording — tap it to see the record, its source, and who
else holds it.
Nobody here wrote their own korrents. They are compiled from public
statements, and a person can change their mind, which is recorded too.

About the English under a post
Some people here publish in a language other than English. Where they
do, this site shows a machine translation beneath the post, in
this typeface — the site's own, not theirs.
The post itself is never changed, moved or hidden: what is set in the
serif above is exactly what the person published, and it is what to
quote them on. A translation can be wrong in ways that matter,
especially about tone.
Only the post's own words are translated. A quoted post, a linked
article and a belief on korrents.com
are left in their original language.
