A Serif Badge Pin using a stretched out version of my Spagetty typeface in antique silver (probably not real silver) and it's available now in the shop! Wear it with pride, knowing that most people will point out the horrendous typo. Then you can explain the joke and they will probably think even less of you. But deep down, you'll know you have the upper hand regarding typography lingo puns. And that means something. simplebits.shop

I don’t usually post DMs, but this is a rare exception as I actually asked him before doing so and he consented. Danial is a local Malaysian. I invited him to the Network School campus, as I do many Malaysian builders. He also said he wanted to build a virtual campus for Malaysians, a similar vision to me regarding a network state. Hi Sandy, I hope you’re well. I have appreciated the recent discussions. I do not agree with your framing. Regarding piracy, DOOM is a complicated example because shareware was the model. DOOM’s first episode was designed to be freely copied, passed around, uploaded, installed, and played. That enormous unpaid audience was not the same thing as piracy. It was part of how DOOM reached the world. By the mid-90s, DOOM had something like 20 million shareware installs and more than 2 million paid copies sold. Those 20 million people were not “pirates” by default. A huge number of them were playing… Quoting @SandyofCthulhu @GameStalgiaX F*ck pirates, as a man who designed video games from 1988 through 2012. 70-90% of Doom's players pirated it. Their words
As the software industry is largely driven by trends and fashion, React's "cool factor" led to a mass amnesia regarding how to make normal, well-designed web apps made of HTML with a sprinkling of scripting on top and everything became one big tangled, brittle mass of Javascript that completely keeled over when scripting wasn't available.

Their words
Like any addictive consumer product that routinely exposes users to graphic sex, extreme violence, and anonymous sexual predators, social media in its current form causes a variety of harms to people of all ages. But we allow adults (often defined as age 18) to make decisions that are bad for them.

What is a korrent?
A korrent is a belief a person has stated in their own words: one
sentence stating the claim, backed by a quote and a source, kept at
korrents.com .
Under a name here, the quoted block is what they actually said.
The korrent beneath it is the claim those words support, in
korrents' wording — tap it to see the record, its source, and who
else holds it.
Nobody here wrote their own korrents. They are compiled from public
statements, and a person can change their mind, which is recorded too.

About the English under a post
Some people here publish in a language other than English. Where they
do, this site shows a machine translation beneath the post, in
this typeface — the site's own, not theirs.
The post itself is never changed, moved or hidden: what is set in the
serif above is exactly what the person published, and it is what to
quote them on. A translation can be wrong in ways that matter,
especially about tone.
Only the post's own words are translated. A quoted post, a linked
article and a belief on korrents.com
are left in their original language.
