sharing an emotional milestone plus some tips for growing a social media presence if you came across my youtube channel, you might have seen i always had “ex-meta” or “L8 principal” mentioned in the title of my videos i hated doing it, and every time i published a video i always a/b tested removing that title unfortunately, every single time, removing it would destroy the reach and the videos simply wouldn’t be seen nearly as much the latest video was the first one i ever had where the “ex-Meta L8” title no longer made any difference. and i have now picked the variant that’s just “with Kun” i… Related

Still processing from yesterday's event (one of the most meaningful days of my life)— more to come—but a few quick things for now: 1. Thank you to everyone who came. You are what made it special. 2. There's so much need for IRL community. I've rarely felt this kind of pull for anything I've done. Wow. 3. All of the talks will be posted to my YT channel in the coming weeks. Get excited. 4. An unbelievable thank-you to the @Stripe team for helping me put this event on. It takes something special to create an event with 1,000+ PMs that has such great vibes. If you think they're great at payments… Related

Started goofing around with mesh radios. Delighted to discover the tech immediately bifurcated into a slapfight between two competing protocols as per the ancient and sacred nerd traditions. Not having much luck with either of them to be honest. I can see lots of #meshtastic nodes from my home, but can't reliably communicate with any of them, and public channel is mostly silent. Not enough #meshcore coverage in my area for a fair try. Anyone else meshing in Portland? Related

What is a korrent?
A korrent is a belief a person has stated in their own words: one
sentence stating the claim, backed by a quote and a source, kept at
korrents.com .
Under a name here, the quoted block is what they actually said.
The korrent beneath it is the claim those words support, in
korrents' wording — tap it to see the record, its source, and who
else holds it.
Nobody here wrote their own korrents. They are compiled from public
statements, and a person can change their mind, which is recorded too.

About the English under a post
Some people here publish in a language other than English. Where they
do, this site shows a machine translation beneath the post, in
this typeface — the site's own, not theirs.
The post itself is never changed, moved or hidden: what is set in the
serif above is exactly what the person published, and it is what to
quote them on. A translation can be wrong in ways that matter,
especially about tone.
Only the post's own words are translated. A quoted post, a linked
article and a belief on korrents.com
are left in their original language.
