Uses MacBook Air
Right now, I use a Mac Pro at home, a Mac Pro at work, and a MacBook Air (with a 3G modem) when I'm mobile.

Mixed on Safari
For browsing, I keep switching between Safari and Firefox, but am not satisfied with either.

Uses Drobo
It has a Drobo with 1+ TB of storage attached, and I leave file and screen sharing so I can get to that Mac from any other computer over the internet.

I'll pop open VMWare Fusion if I need to test something on our site with Internet Explorer.

Liked Dropbox
I've also been pretty impressed recently with Dropbox for getting a file or two onto all my Macs extremely quickly.

Uses Skitch
I use Skitch a lot for taking and sharing quick screenshots, as well as lightweight image cropping and resizing.

Loved Yojimbo
And for storing passwords, serial numbers, and notes, so far Yojimbo is the best for me, thanks to its support for MobileMe syncing.

Loved LaunchBar
LaunchBar is usually the first piece of software I install on any Mac.

- #BigWalk is out now in all regions on Steam, PS5 (free on PS Plus), Switch 2, and Mac App Store! It's something really special. Hope you can round up a friend or ten and enjoy! ❤️ 4 Aug 2026 youtube.com
- Back in November, I posted something about #meshcore having not much coverage here, and I was extremely wrong about that. MeshCore in the PNW currently spans from BC down to California's northern border, and there is idle chit-chat all day long, compared to the complete silence I observed on #meshtastic. https://cascadiamesh.org/map/ Nothing's perfect, but it's amazing what a community can put together sometimes. 2 Aug 2026
- Having much fun experimenting with Reticulum. Come find me on Nomad Network, you nerds: f43a2a0662e60a96f432ee6e3cb5c0a3 #reticulum 27 Jul 2026

- Saw this on the shelf at a vintage store and went nah, come on, that's pointless even for me. Then went back for it an hour later. Store claims it's tested, but we'll find out when my Meco Star Wars 8-track gets here from eBay. 27 Mar 2026
- Conway's back... and this time it's personal. 7 Feb 2026
- According to https://web.law.duke.edu/cspd/publicdomainday/2026/ this painting's copyright expires on Jan 1, 2026. Artists, pencils up. I, for one, am excited to see the further adventures of Paul Klee's animal friends. 1 Jan 2026
- I really thought after 18 years it would be a simple muscle memory to do text entry / autocorrect / cursor placement / text selection / copy & paste on iOS, and yet somehow it's a surprise every time. 12 Dec 2025
- Started goofing around with mesh radios. Delighted to discover the tech immediately bifurcated into a slapfight between two competing protocols as per the ancient and sacred nerd traditions. Not having much luck with either of them to be honest. I can see lots of #meshtastic nodes from my home, but can't reliably communicate with any of them, and public channel is mostly silent. Not enough #meshcore coverage in my area for a fair try. Anyone else meshing in Portland? 3 Nov 2025
- Also at PRGE, I was greatly tempted to buy a CIB Yukawa-edition Dreamcast. For those not familiar, Mr. Yukawa was an actual Senior Managing Director at Sega who became an overnight celebrity in Japan for a series of hilarious self-deprecating commercials about the Dreamcast. When demand temporarily outpaced supply of the consoles, Yukawa was brought out again to make a series of equally funny "apology" commercials: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_nK7j4G6fQ He was so well known, they literally put him on the box for a while. He even got his own game and a number of cameos in others. 20 Oct 2025
- This year's PRGE haul: a Lost Treasures of Infocom box set, Music Construction Set, Pinball Construction Set, and of course EA's most famous franchise: Battlefield 6. No, just kidding: the Cut & Paste word processor. #retrocomputing 20 Oct 2025

- https://blippo.plus If you missed it because you don't have a Playdate (I forgive you -- just this once), you can now experience alien channel-surfing sensation Blippo+ on Nintendo Switch, or PC (Steam/Itch). Boing boing! 23 Sept 2025
- Something has changed recently in Safari (I have 18.6) where instead of asking you to confirm you want to connect insecurely to an HTTP server, it seems to try to automatically upgrade the connection to HTTPS and fail outright with an "unable to establish secure connection" without recourse if it can't. How.. do you get around this to connect to something like a local HTTP server with no cert/https? 10 Sept 2025
- Has anyone tried ethernet over grape vines? You could stream "I Heard It Through The Grapevine" and literally hear it through the grapevine. Just thinkin' out loud. 24 Aug 2025
- We're also announcing today that "Ratcheteer", a fan favorite from Playdate Season 1, is coming soon to your computer as "Ratcheteer DX", complete with COLOR GRAPHICS. Thank you for supporting our weird little games. I hope you have a good day. 21 Aug 2025 store.steampowered.com

About the English under a post
Some people here publish in a language other than English. Where they do, this site shows a machine translation beneath the post, in this typeface — the site's own, not theirs.
The post itself is never changed, moved or hidden: what is set in the serif above is exactly what the person published, and it is what to quote them on. A translation can be wrong in ways that matter, especially about tone.
Only the post's own words are translated. A quoted post, a linked article and a belief on korrents.com are left in their original language.
