Marvin Minsky wrote about this in The Emotion Machine. Emotions are a core part of human intelligence, not some epiphenomenal side effect of human evolution (which presumably many AI folks believe it is). Minsky describes a selector of sorts for different thinking strategies.

What you would want to do is have a detailed highdimensional readout of okay your your gallbladder and your liver and your kidney and your heart and changes all over your body and look at that and ask is there is there some kind of association between specific emotion states and changes some kind of complex change in your body and I would bet that there is but we just don't have those data yet

And the other question is if you tie emotion to the the conscious experience of emotion, that is you equate you conflate emotions with feelings. Well, then you're not studying emotions, you're studying consciousness.

so I think as long as you have some kind some concept which need not be put into words some way to think about and differentiate the different emotions that are going on in you that gives you a purchase on your ability to to some extent evaluate them and say this is an emotion I want or this is an emotion that I don't want

Product-market fit shows up as anger when you tell people they cannot have it yet, not as polite interest.Their words
But each time there was a strong emotion and the best part there were quite a few people that really wanted it and like especially to my nontechnical friends I told them no this is not yet for you and they got mad. So if that's not an indicator to have product market fit I don't know what is.

What is a korrent?
A korrent is a belief a person has stated in their own words: one sentence stating the claim, backed by a quote and a source, kept at korrents.com.
Under a name here, the quoted block is what they actually said. The korrent beneath it is the claim those words support, in korrents' wording — tap it to see the record, its source, and who else holds it.
Nobody here wrote their own korrents. They are compiled from public statements, and a person can change their mind, which is recorded too.
About the English under a post
Some people here publish in a language other than English. Where they do, this site shows a machine translation beneath the post, in this typeface — the site's own, not theirs.
The post itself is never changed, moved or hidden: what is set in the serif above is exactly what the person published, and it is what to quote them on. A translation can be wrong in ways that matter, especially about tone.
Only the post's own words are translated. A quoted post, a linked article and a belief on korrents.com are left in their original language.
