Their words
So it's a different way of framing why is there a reduction of action? Why is there bradicynesia, a slowing of movement in people with Parkinson's disease? That's really interesting. It doesn't just have to be about motor control. It could be the motivation to act just as we said with David, right?

you can take the man out of the net zero dept, but you can't take the net zero dept out of the man what a great re-framing: climate as a security issue, and using his new promotion to one of the Great Offices to push it love Miliband for this. this framing seems wrong to me. even one employee who leans into "be richer" makes the gains from ai visible (to peers and managers) and market dynamics mean others will copy and the standard rises Quoting @arampell The Principal-Agent vs. Agents Problem Every human in the workforce has two crude goals: 1. Be richer. 2. Be lazier. Get paid 2x more, or keep salary flat? Get paid more! Go home at 11:01 PM, or stay up until 5 AM? Go home at 11:01 PM! This isn’t a moral judgment. It’s just…economics. Which brings… Related

Hi Sandy, I hope you’re well. I have appreciated the recent discussions. I do not agree with your framing. Regarding piracy, DOOM is a complicated example because shareware was the model. DOOM’s first episode was designed to be freely copied, passed around, uploaded, installed, and played. That enormous unpaid audience was not the same thing as piracy. It was part of how DOOM reached the world. By the mid-90s, DOOM had something like 20 million shareware installs and more than 2 million paid copies sold. Those 20 million people were not “pirates” by default. A huge number of them were playing… Quoting @SandyofCthulhu @GameStalgiaX F*ck pirates, as a man who designed video games from 1988 through 2012. 70-90% of Doom's players pirated it. If not for that we would literally have had so much more for our workspace and upcoming projects - Quake may not have gutted id Software. At least 50% of Age of Empires was pir… Related

“Used actively and with intention, AI is more than a functional productivity tool. It advances what a single person can take on: a young professional fluent in digital tools for research, analysis, and execution can now do work that once needed a team Think of AI as a huge, tireless brain holding answers to almost any question. But what to ask, within which constraints, and what to look for in the answer, is the part only the human can direct. Framing the right problem requires giving AI the right history and concerns. The quality of the answer is, in the end, governed by the quality of askin… Quoting @riteshmjn Listen to Ashish if you dont want to listen to me. Related

What is a korrent?
A korrent is a belief a person has stated in their own words: one
sentence stating the claim, backed by a quote and a source, kept at
korrents.com .
Under a name here, the quoted block is what they actually said.
The korrent beneath it is the claim those words support, in
korrents' wording — tap it to see the record, its source, and who
else holds it.
Nobody here wrote their own korrents. They are compiled from public
statements, and a person can change their mind, which is recorded too.

About the English under a post
Some people here publish in a language other than English. Where they
do, this site shows a machine translation beneath the post, in
this typeface — the site's own, not theirs.
The post itself is never changed, moved or hidden: what is set in the
serif above is exactly what the person published, and it is what to
quote them on. A translation can be wrong in ways that matter,
especially about tone.
Only the post's own words are translated. A quoted post, a linked
article and a belief on korrents.com
are left in their original language.
