Another bug with iOS 27.1: when your app launches in a partially folded state, the view’s traitCollection has a compact horizontal size class. If you close the Duo, and then open it partially, the horizontal size class is regular. This can lead to weird layouts when you launch an app in the partially folded state: only workaround is to close/open device again. Weirdly, auto layout constraints in a storyboard aren’t affected by this. It’s something in the UIViewController transition methods. Related

Ratings largely determine spreads. Yet, their construction remains largely a black box. Our paper assesses the relative importance of debt, deficits and country specific effects in the determination of these ratings. The evidence is at odds with a simple model of default: more importance of debt, less importance of forecast deficits, limited role of r-g, surprisingly large role of country effects.
