People will ask for a problem to be solved and an agent will write the code under the hood to solve it.Their words
But they won't ask for an app, they'll just ask for a problem to be solved and the agent will write the code under the hood to solve it.

preventing it, is a pretty simple 3 pronged process: 1. Ensure agents create high quality PRs in the first place 2. Have good agent PR reviewers to catch problems before they get to prod 3. Use feature flags and have a (regularly tested) disaster recovery process if a problem manages to make it to prod

AI agents are incentivized to become so core to a business that they are difficult to replace.Their words
But the thing is, they all want to drive their claws so deep into the flesh of your business (to be useful of course), that it will be a huge chore to get rid of them. The integrations, automations, memories, secret tokens, etc etc etc. All of these will be locked into the assistant and they are not incentivized to make it easy for you to transfer these things to your "new hire."

AI agents will leapfrog each other in capabilities.Their words
Each one of these products (and the others inevitably on their way) are going to do their best to make theirs the winner. But the fact is that they will continue to leap frog each other in capabilities.

Most modern agents support browsers and that's fine most of the time.

The reason you don't build enough personal software is because setting up the integrations every time is a pain.

if your customers are interacting with your service through an agent, it's so much more efficient to just give them a regular mcp server they can use.

Agents are good at producing output but not at judging which output is worth producing in the first place.Their words
Agents are really good at output now, and they're getting better fast. What they're not good at is knowing which output is worth producing in the first place.

AI agents make redesigns cheap. The reason I could go through three rounds of "build, ship, regret, redesign" in a matter of days is that the agent did most of the implementation work.

Request-path ownership matters. Don't let derived-index maintenance happen inside a foreground user request. Whether you use SQLite, a managed service, or something else, keeping a search index fresh is background work and should stay off the user-facing path.

Architectural iteration is slow because a design usually has to be built before its quality can be judged.Their words
That is the part that usually makes architectural iteration slow: you have to build the thing before you can have an informed opinion about whether it is the right thing.

structural refactors break assumptions you didn't know you had, and "the agent was confident it would work" is not the same as "it will work."

What is a korrent?
A korrent is a belief a person has stated in their own words: one sentence stating the claim, backed by a quote and a source, kept at korrents.com.
Under a name here, the quoted block is what they actually said. The korrent beneath it is the claim those words support, in korrents' wording — tap it to see the record, its source, and who else holds it.
Nobody here wrote their own korrents. They are compiled from public statements, and a person can change their mind, which is recorded too.
About the English under a post
Some people here publish in a language other than English. Where they do, this site shows a machine translation beneath the post, in this typeface — the site's own, not theirs.
The post itself is never changed, moved or hidden: what is set in the serif above is exactly what the person published, and it is what to quote them on. A translation can be wrong in ways that matter, especially about tone.
Only the post's own words are translated. A quoted post, a linked article and a belief on korrents.com are left in their original language.
