The job of product has always been to be a bridge between the real problems people have and the technology that can solve them.
I think the job of product is always to be a bridge between the real problems that people have in the world and the technology that you can use to solve it. And like that's always been true.

The technology side keeps changing, but the human side does not change that fast: people have the same problems.
the technology side is changing but the human side like the human side doesn't change that fast. We have the same problems.

It is now faster to build three versions of something and try them out.
That's in the past. Like now it's actually faster to just build three versions and try them out

With the technology changing every two months, you have to throw away what you knew about yourself in the job and try something different.
part of the technology changing every two months is you have to throw away what you knew about yourself in the job using that technology and just try something different.

Raising your tolerance for change and being willing to embrace it is very important.
I think like raising your ceiling on tolerance for change and being willing to embrace change is super important.

Mapping out exactly what will happen in uncertain times probably locks you out of trying new things; leaders should frame the chaos so it feels safe to engage with.
and that's a way to exert control. And I just I I think that locks you out of trying all the new stuff. And so what we have to do is like frame the chaos so it feels safe and it feels plausible to engage with it.

It is probably still too early in understanding what works for anyone to simply build the right answer; everyone is exploring together.
I think we're just so early in like understanding what works. It's not like stuff is stable and we can just build the right answer. It's like we're all trying to explore together.

Five overlapping products that work in different ways are better than one over-constrained product, designed from a theory, that never got a chance to meet the market.
Because I feel like the fail state is you decide from the beginning like based on a theory of exactly what needs to happen and you like over constrain a product. And I would much rather have like five overlapping products that all work in different ways than like one overly constrained one that we never even gave a chance to actually like meet the market.

Right now it is easy to transfer cognitive load to users by handing them a set of tools and asking them to choose.
right now it's easy to just transfer a bunch of cognitive load to the user and be like here's some tools like why don't you choose?

What is a korrent?
A korrent is a belief a person has stated in their own words: one sentence stating the claim, backed by a quote and a source, kept at korrents.com.
Under a name here, the quoted block is what they actually said. The korrent beneath it is the claim those words support, in korrents' wording — tap it to see the record, its source, and who else holds it.
Nobody here wrote their own korrents. They are compiled from public statements, and a person can change their mind, which is recorded too.
About the English under a post
Some people here publish in a language other than English. Where they do, this site shows a machine translation beneath the post, in this typeface — the site's own, not theirs.
The post itself is never changed, moved or hidden: what is set in the serif above is exactly what the person published, and it is what to quote them on. A translation can be wrong in ways that matter, especially about tone.
Only the post's own words are translated. A quoted post, a linked article and a belief on korrents.com are left in their original language.
