I don’t really care about these kinds of lists, but it is noteworthy that 90% of the listed companies are running on Linear!

Here's one of the many little ways that AI is changing expectations about UI. I'm building this thing I want for teams I manage to more clearly define review points. (A bit like Shopify's phase transitions in their GSD system). I have a handful of tasks that should be checked in a review. It used to be normal practice that any list in a UI needs a title. Eg "List" or "Untitled" etc. But this was always a drag, right? Naming a list just to have a group of things is extra work. But without a name it's hard to scan and find and all lists look the same. Now AI can generate titles for anything. Li… Related

Today I learned that @OpenAIDevs MCP client https://t.co/nhRPF6KVEf lists private_key_jwt for the token endpoint auth while the CIMD endpoint is actually public (auth=none). So your MCP OAuth must be able to skip private_key_jwt, if unsupported. MCP Related

A quick look into remote persistent sessions with Superlogical! Not just remote sessions, but some functionality like remote directory lists, too. Superlogical can actually be a full SSH replacement (I don't run SSH on my servers anymore), and I talk about that briefly, too. Related

No child should be raised in a hostel room. And no family should wait ten years for a front door of their own. Today we’re announcing funding for the biggest council housebuilding comeback in decades. Nearly £10 billion will go to councils and housing associations to build genuinely affordable homes, most of them for social rent. This funding will directly help families trapped in temporary accommodation or stuck on housing waiting lists into safe, secure homes. Related

Friday afternoon reminder to not empty your inbox at the expense of someone else's. I'll be headed down to Massachusetts to spend some time with my sister next week and I've already got my clipboard out and am making lists. Maybe I'll catch Super Troopers 3 at the local movie house. Either way, my mind is nowhere near my email. Fortunately it does not have to be. Image credit: Randolph Historical Society, on Flickr Commons flickr.com

The authors of most books are looking for many of the magical elements of status that come from successfully being published. They pay attention to the bestseller list. They game it. They pay attention to reviews. They uh worry about what their friends think of the book, even though their friends don't read books.

This might be blasphemy over here, but to support longer/deeper discussions on Mastodon, I think it'd be nice if Mastodon would implement options for non-chronological lists of posts, e.g. similar to reddit's default 'hot" view. Could be as simple as sorting threads based on most recent reply. This could be opt-in and can co-exist with the current chronological view. Related

What is a korrent?
A korrent is a belief a person has stated in their own words: one
sentence stating the claim, backed by a quote and a source, kept at
korrents.com .
Under a name here, the quoted block is what they actually said.
The korrent beneath it is the claim those words support, in
korrents' wording — tap it to see the record, its source, and who
else holds it.
Nobody here wrote their own korrents. They are compiled from public
statements, and a person can change their mind, which is recorded too.

About the English under a post
Some people here publish in a language other than English. Where they
do, this site shows a machine translation beneath the post, in
this typeface — the site's own, not theirs.
The post itself is never changed, moved or hidden: what is set in the
serif above is exactly what the person published, and it is what to
quote them on. A translation can be wrong in ways that matter,
especially about tone.
Only the post's own words are translated. A quoted post, a linked
article and a belief on korrents.com
are left in their original language.
