The Japanese concept of wabi-sabi occupies the same conceptual space that beauty does in Ancient Greek thought.Their words
Interestingly, in Japanese culture, wabi-sabi represents the same conceptual space as "beauty" does in Ancient Greek thinking.

We are at a point metallurgically where video games were at the start of the last console generation-upgrades aren't necessarily noticeable based on specs alone. And noticeable improvements require a huge increase in resources.

Manufacturers generally prefer cutting per-unit production costs over retooling a design for small improvements.Their words
Over time companies would vastly prefer to decrease the cost per unit rather than retool for a small tweak.

Benchmade Mini Bugout in S90VTheir words
In the end, the MBO in S90V is probably the best EDC knife Benchmade has ever made and it is a jewel in my collection (the Valet and the Aphid were pretty good too; Benchmade can we get a re-issue of the Aphid with upgraded materials?). The exposed rear tang is an irksome but ultimately minor issue. The size, refinement, steel, and weight make this one of the very best knives on the market right now.

Human-made promotional shilling can be worse than AI-generated junk because real effort was wasted on it.Their words
There has also been an uptick in product shills, which, in some ways is worse than AI stuff-some human actually put effort into making straight garbage.

Social media in general has become a flood of garbage posts either with AI visuals or AI text and all of it has almost no value.

Low corrosion resistant steels like K390 are great at holding an edge but only look nice and stay rust free in the driest of environments.

Spyderco Dragonfly 2 in SPY27Their words
But in the past two years, Spyderco released a SPY27 version of the Dragonfly 2. It is an amazing steel that perfectly fits the role the DF2 serves. It is a S35VN/S45VN that has better sharpenability. The result, in my mind, makes for the absolute best all around DF2 ever made.

Victorinox CompactTheir words
There is no perfect SAK, but the Compact is the best SAK. And this is not a "smartest Kardashian" scenario. Over the years I have genuinely loved carrying the Compact. Adding the pocket clip and the excellent PDW scales has made it one of my most frequently carried items.

What is a korrent?
A korrent is a belief a person has stated in their own words: one sentence stating the claim, backed by a quote and a source, kept at korrents.com.
Under a name here, the quoted block is what they actually said. The korrent beneath it is the claim those words support, in korrents' wording — tap it to see the record, its source, and who else holds it.
Nobody here wrote their own korrents. They are compiled from public statements, and a person can change their mind, which is recorded too.
About the English under a post
Some people here publish in a language other than English. Where they do, this site shows a machine translation beneath the post, in this typeface — the site's own, not theirs.
The post itself is never changed, moved or hidden: what is set in the serif above is exactly what the person published, and it is what to quote them on. A translation can be wrong in ways that matter, especially about tone.
Only the post's own words are translated. A quoted post, a linked article and a belief on korrents.com are left in their original language.
