When money is on the line, AI makes it easier to disguise low-quality work as legitimate.
AI made it easy to turn a bullshit problem into something that looked legit, and since there's a possibility of money involved people tried to take advantage of the situation.

People who enjoy using AI themselves often resent having it used against them.
I enjoy using AI, but I really don't like AI being used on me.

Being inundated with AI-generated reports is likely why some bug bounty programs have stopped accepting new submissions.
I suspect this is due to so many projects being inundated with AI generated reports.
Rails Security, AI, and IBB Said 6 May 2026
A tool's speed comes primarily from its design decisions rather than the programming language it is written in.
I suspect it would be possible to write a uv in Python (PyUv?) that approaches the speeds of uv, and in fact much of the blog post goes on to talk about performance improvements that aren't related to Rust.
Can Bundler Be as Fast as uv? Said 29 Dec 2025
Rewriting software from scratch gives developers the freedom to try techniques they might not otherwise attempt.
I think rewrites give developers the freedom to "think outside the box", and try techniques they might not have tried.

What is a korrent?
A korrent is a belief a person has stated in their own words: one sentence stating the claim, backed by a quote and a source, kept at korrents.com.
Under a name here, the quoted block is what they actually said. The korrent beneath it is the claim those words support, in korrents' wording — tap it to see the record, its source, and who else holds it.
Nobody here wrote their own korrents. They are compiled from public statements, and a person can change their mind, which is recorded too.

I use wrist rests from Noko Leatherworks. I don't know if they make a huge difference to my setup, but I like them.

I enjoy using Keynote for making presentations because it allows me to focus on the content and still the presentation comes out looking good.

Liked Firefox
Firefox has an extremely nice feature that I like for web development: if you hit ' (single quote) it will bring up a search box, but the search box only searches through links on the page.

Liked Safari
I mainly use Safari as my browser since it has the best Keychain integration.

Uses Vim
I use Vim as my editor. I've been using Vim for about 16 years, my entire programming career. I've been using Vim for so long that I basically can't switch.

Uses Henge Dock
I use a 15" MacBook Pro, but it's usually mounted in my Henge Dock. My "everyday use" monitor is a 27" Dell.

The microphone is nice, but I don't like the sound of my own voice, and it seems the thing quits working around 35min in to recording.

Loved Aeron
I have an Aeron chair, and I'm very happy with it. When I bought it, I thought it was too expensive (it was around $1000). But the chair is very comfortable and I've been using it for the past 6 years or so, so I think it was worth the money.

Mixed on Razer DeathAdder
I actually don't care for its weird glowing lights, but the mouse is very comfortable so I don't really mind too much.

Uses Atreus
The ErgoDox is a bit too large to carry on the road, so I use an Atreus keyboard for travel.

Loved ErgodoxEZ
I ordered an ErgoDox EZ because it has tenting built-in, and I really think it's the best keyboard to use.

About the English under a post
Some people here publish in a language other than English. Where they do, this site shows a machine translation beneath the post, in this typeface — the site's own, not theirs.
The post itself is never changed, moved or hidden: what is set in the serif above is exactly what the person published, and it is what to quote them on. A translation can be wrong in ways that matter, especially about tone.
Only the post's own words are translated. A quoted post, a linked article and a belief on korrents.com are left in their original language.
