IIn a few years, once we’ve completely forgotten how to code by hand, people will start doing hand-coding competitions to see who can still center a div without asking an AI. I forgot how to change border radius of just one corner today (it’s border-bottom-left-radius).
But, simply just having your loops build everything without having some guardrails around the blast radius without having guardrails around how you think about quality, I think is a recipe for disaster.
Then you had code review which gave you another level of feedback. You could roll out internally more frequently. And everybody was using Facebook for all kinds of stuff, personal and internal business stuff. So whatever feature you developed, people would start using it immediately. So you get another round of feedback. Then we had this phased roll out process where you'd start rolling your stuff out. If there was a problem, the blast radius would be limited to a a few million people.
Canonical’s LXD works out-of-the-box on Ubuntu, and is a great way to sandbox an agent into a disposable environment where the blast radius is limited should the agent make a mistake.
