Had such a fun time chatting with @debbiemillman.bsky.social on her fabulous pod about all the things including why my life has been one big attempt to get back at Razorfish for snubbing, 18-year-old idiot me:

Their words
It is very easy to go take shots on Twitter and make a sarcastic comment and get a lot of likes and feel like you're doing something really important and sticking it to the man and being like, "Gary, haha, I got you, you idiot." Um, and and it will poison your soul. It is a morally bankrupt thing to do.

Anyone who does something that matters will be called an idiot, and the attacks scale with how well the thing works.Their words
I mean, if you do anything that matters in the world, uh you will have a lot of people call you an idiot or just dismiss you. The more you do, the more the better you do, the more they'll attack you.

What is a korrent?
A korrent is a belief a person has stated in their own words: one sentence stating the claim, backed by a quote and a source, kept at korrents.com.
Under a name here, the quoted block is what they actually said. The korrent beneath it is the claim those words support, in korrents' wording — tap it to see the record, its source, and who else holds it.
Nobody here wrote their own korrents. They are compiled from public statements, and a person can change their mind, which is recorded too.
About the English under a post
Some people here publish in a language other than English. Where they do, this site shows a machine translation beneath the post, in this typeface — the site's own, not theirs.
The post itself is never changed, moved or hidden: what is set in the serif above is exactly what the person published, and it is what to quote them on. A translation can be wrong in ways that matter, especially about tone.
Only the post's own words are translated. A quoted post, a linked article and a belief on korrents.com are left in their original language.
