What they believe

Many problematic biomedical papers are still not addressed by journals ten years after being identified.
Unfortunately, many of these problematic papers are still not addressed by the journals now, ten years later, even though the concerns in some of them are far beyond what could be blamed on an innocent error.

Certain image duplications in research papers could not have happened by accident.
These are what I call "5 second retractions" - no matter what the authors will tell you ("the original photos were lost in an airplane crash"; "our basement got flooded", or "the intern did it"), there is no conceivable way that these duplications could have happened by accident.

The journal Cytokine has done very little to address reported problematic papers.
Cytokine has been one of the journals that did very little with the 30 papers I reported to them in October 2015. Of those papers, only 2 have been retracted, and another 2 have been corrected. The remaining 26 (87%!) have not been touched.

The study's small group sizes and unequal distribution increase the risk of unreliable or non-reproducible findings.
With fewer than 10 individuals in the two 'sick' groups, it is difficult to draw any meaningful conclusions. In such small groups, a single patient with an unusual RNA expression pattern could significantly skew the results. In contrast, outliers in the much larger control group will have far less influence on the average. This kind of imbalance increases the risk of generating unreliable or non-reproducible findings.

The study offers no evidence that mRNA vaccines cause cancer.
Because of its deeply flawed design, lack of proper controls, and absence of key participant data, this study offers no evidence - absolutely nothing - that mRNA vaccines cause cancer.

What is a korrent?
A korrent is a belief a person has stated in their own words: one sentence stating the claim, backed by a quote and a source, kept at korrents.com.
Under a name here, the quoted block is what they actually said. The korrent beneath it is the claim those words support, in korrents' wording — tap it to see the record, its source, and who else holds it.
Nobody here wrote their own korrents. They are compiled from public statements, and a person can change their mind, which is recorded too.

About the English under a post
Some people here publish in a language other than English. Where they do, this site shows a machine translation beneath the post, in this typeface — the site's own, not theirs.
The post itself is never changed, moved or hidden: what is set in the serif above is exactly what the person published, and it is what to quote them on. A translation can be wrong in ways that matter, especially about tone.
Only the post's own words are translated. A quoted post, a linked article and a belief on korrents.com are left in their original language.
