    • Recommends Bird
Uh, and the last one's, I think, a little more whimsical, but goes back to our conversation about the skill of writing, and it's Bird by Bird, uh, by Ann Lamont, which is just a delightful read, and, uh, is a good reminder for any procrastinators to just break down your your work and do it bird by bird. That's where the title comes from, but is such a well-written leads by example and in the instructions on the art of writing.

    • Recommends A Theory of Justice
Uh and I know you have thoughts on this book, but it's a theory of justice by John RWS. I think it does the best job of setting up a broad framework of rights of humans while also understanding when inequalities could be justified and I think it's the best place to start for political philosophy. So I know you've tried it a few times.

Where they publish

About the English under a post

Some people here publish in a language other than English. Where they do, this site shows a machine translation beneath the post, in this typeface — the site's own, not theirs.

The post itself is never changed, moved or hidden: what is set in the serif above is exactly what the person published, and it is what to quote them on. A translation can be wrong in ways that matter, especially about tone.

Only the post's own words are translated. A quoted post, a linked article and a belief on korrents.com are left in their original language.
